Interactive Music Learning Companies Announce Cooperation
Norway’s Grieg Music and US-based Noteflight Partner to offer web-based, interactive music education product to global education market
(January 18th) BERGEN, NORWAY / CAMBRIDGE, MASS.: US-based Noteflight and European-based Grieg Music Education today announced that they would work closely together to offer a cutting edge, multimedia music learning tool aimed at secondary school educators. The first step will be to develop an integrated product offering and undertake shared marketing and distribution activities.
Both companies develop innovative, globally recognized online resources. Noteflight is a powerful web-based application where users can edit, display and play back music notation. The Grieg Music Education product Music Delta is a state of the art interactive web-based learning resource offering a self-contained music curriculum.

By offering integrated products, the two companies expect to expand their presence both in the US and in the European markets. The new, integrated product will be launched late 2011. In the meantime, the two companies will be working on joint marketing and distribution activities.
The two companies last week respectively participated at The NAMM Show in Anaheim, California and the BETT show in London. The NAMM Show is one of the largest music product trade shows in the world, while the BETT show is the largest education technology exhibition in the world.

Grieg Music Education AS (GME) is located in Bergen, Norway, and is developing globally recognized online learning resources based on music.
